National Single Window Phase One Launch Set for 27 March 2026

Nigeria is taking a major step toward improving trade facilitation with the launch of the first phase of the National Single Window project scheduled for 27 March 2026. Speaking on the National Single Window project and its objectives, the Director, Mr Tola Fakolade, explained that the initiative is designed as a single integrated digital platform that connects all relevant government agencies involved in trade regulation and cargo clearance. The National Single Window aims to simplify trade processes, eliminate duplication, and significantly reduce cargo clearance timelines from several weeks to 24 to 48 hours. This improvement is expected to enhance efficiency, transparency, and ease of doing business for importers and exporters operating in Nigeria. The launch of Phase One marks a critical milestone in Nigeria’s trade modernization efforts and reflects the government’s commitment to building a faster, more efficient, and technology driven trade ecosystem.
